3 suspects arrested and charged in killing of Florida rapper Foolio, 2 suspects still at large
SUMMARY
Florida authorities announced the arrest of three suspects in the June 23rd killing of rapper Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones. Jones was shot in the parking lot of an uptown Tampa hotel. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office named the arrested suspects as Sean Gathright, 18, Alicia Andrews, 21, and Isaiah Chance Jr., 21. They are currently in the Duval County Pre-Trial Detention Center on murder charges, awaiting transfer to Tampa. Two other suspects remain at large. State Attorney Susan Lopez stated that all five defendants face life sentences, emphasizing the severity of their conspiracy to murder. Jones, who had a large following as Foolio, was celebrating his birthday when he was ambushed and killed.
