ActBlue donations to Biden-Harris campaign subject of GOP donor fraud investigation
SUMMARY
A Republican group, the Fair Election Fund, has uncovered over 60,000 instances of potential donor fraud linked to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign through ActBlue, a Democratic fundraising platform. The group's investigation revealed that many individuals listed as small-dollar donors in the campaign's Federal Election Commission report did not recall making contributions. Former Congressman Doug Collins, who helped launch the watchdog group, called the findings potentially the "biggest scandal in modern presidential history." The Fair Election Fund has shared its findings with several Republican attorneys general, including those in Alabama, Texas, and Virginia, to further investigate the alleged fraud. The group plans to continue its probe and has committed to spending over $5 million in 2024 to combat election fraud.
