EU Commission President von der Leyen wins another term, FAZ, dpa say
SUMMARY
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will serve another term, following an agreement among major European political parties, according to Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and dpa. The deal also includes appointing Portuguese ex-premier Antonio Costa as European Council president and Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas as EU foreign policy chief. These appointments were anticipated, although EU leaders failed to finalize the package during a dinner last week. The leaders will reconvene at a summit in Brussels on Thursday and Friday to finalize the agreement.
