Kamala Harris Picked Illegal Migrant Who Attacked Woman for Jobs Program While San Francisco District Attorney
SUMMARY
A recent report reveals that Vice President Kamala Harris, during her tenure as San Francisco District Attorney, selected Alexander Izaguirre, an illegal migrant from Honduras, for a jobs program. The program, designed to offer job training and expunge records for drug offenders, controversially included Izaguirre, who had been arrested twice for purse snatching and selling cocaine. In July 2008, while participating in the "Back on Track" program, Izaguirre violently assaulted Amanda Kiefer, resulting in a fractured skull. This incident resurfaced during Harris’s campaign for California Attorney General, leading her to express regret over the inclusion of illegal migrants in the program. Subsequently, the program was amended to require legal documentation for participants. Harris's stance on sanctuary city policies, however, remained firm, declaring San Francisco a city of refuge.
