Tens of thousands of illegal immigrants with sexual assault, murder convictions roaming US streets: ICE data
SUMMARY
According to recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data, over 425,000 illegal aliens with criminal convictions are currently living in the U.S. This includes 62,231 convicted of assault, 56,533 with drug convictions, and 15,811 for sexual assault. Notably, 13,099 individuals have homicide convictions. The data, provided to lawmakers, indicates there are also 222,141 illegal aliens with pending criminal charges, including 1,845 with pending homicide charges and 42,915 with assault charges. As of July 2024, the non-detained docket has grown to over 7 million, highlighting a serious increase in individuals either awaiting removal proceedings or with final orders of removal. The rise in criminal illegal aliens has raised concerns among lawmakers regarding community safety and the effectiveness of current immigration policies.
