Alan Dershowitz Predicts the First Thing Trump Will Do isFire His Lawyers
American constitutional lawyer Alan Dershowitz has weighed in on the recent guilty verdict against former President Donald Trump, predicting that Trump will promptly dismiss his entire legal team.
"I'm going to predict that the first thing Trump doesis fire his lawyers, which he should have done before the trial, rather thanafter the trial."
According to Dershowitz, Trump's legal team fell short intheir defense efforts, failing to adequately represent him during the case andneglecting to prepare for the forthcoming appeal.
"His lawyers did not do a good job. And what worries meas an appellate lawyer, is that they didn't do a good job preserving the recordfor appeal. They focussed exclusively on the trial, which is what many triallawyers erroneously do."
Dershowitz explained how this legal oversight may hinderTrump's chances of success in the appeal process.
