One company highlighted is Suntech, a CCP-backed solar firm personally recruited by Newsom. Another, JOINN Laboratories, has alleged ties to China’s military. The book also points to Huawei’s 2016 financial sponsorship of ChinaSF, despite U.S. government concerns over its national security risks.
