Trump to Put Kennedy and Gabbard on His Transition Team
SUMMARY
Former President Donald J. Trump plans to include Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard as honorary co-chairs on his presidential transition team if he secures a second term. Kennedy, who recently ended his independent presidential campaign and endorsed Trump, stated that he has been asked to assist in selecting government personnel and policies. Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman who endorsed Trump on Monday, has also been involved in his debate preparation sessions. Both Kennedy and Gabbard were previously prominent progressive Democrats. Kennedy and Gabbard will join Trump's sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, as well as his running mate, Senator JD Vance, in these roles. The transition team's senior adviser, Brian Hughes, expressed pride in their inclusion, citing their strong voices as assets in the effort to "restore America’s greatness."
