Fauci Refuses To Take Media Questions At Protested Florida Speaking Event

The sold-out event, part of Fauci’s spring tour to promote his book, drew anti-vaccine demonstrators waving signs and RFK Jr.’s “The Real Anthony Fauci.” A parallel “FreedomFest” at Five Points Park featured Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo and health freedom advocates slamming Fauci’s Covid lockdown policies. “We were told we couldn’t work independently with our physicians…Fauci pushed all of those policies,” said Michelle Pozzie of Hollow Alliance. ICU nurse Kimberly Overton called Fauci’s tour a bid to “falsify his legacy,” citing harm to public trust. The protest, backed by Vic Mellor’s We the People Health and Wellness Center, aimed to counter Fauci’s narrative. “If the city is going to bring him in…we want to present the other side,” Pozzie said. Fauci, retired since 2022, saw his wife axed from NIAID in April under Trump’s cuts.
