Report: Jordanian Illegal Immigrants Who Tried to Breach Marine Base Walk Free After Posting Bail
SUMMARY
Two Jordanian illegal aliens, Hasan Yousef Hamdan, 32, and Mohammad Khair Dabous, 28, attempted to breach the Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia, in May 2024. Both were detained but later released after posting bail, despite being in the United States illegally. Hamdan entered the country via the southern border in April and was released due to overcrowding in detention centers, while Dabous had overstayed his student visa. The two were arrested after trying to drive onto the base in a box truck, claiming to be Amazon subcontractors, but were stopped by anti-vehicle barriers. They were charged with misdemeanor trespassing on military property and released on bond in early June under the conditions that they attend court for immigration proceedings and stay away from military bases. The motive for their attempt to enter the base remains unclear.
