Tren de Aragua gangbangers tied to wild Colorado apartment takeover arrested in major NYC drug, gun bust: sources
SUMMARY
Fifteen members of Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua gang, including Denyeer Aramillo Meneses, 23, and Edison Pena Angulo, 25, were arrested in a New York City raid targeting a major drug trafficking and fraud operation. Meneses and Angulo were also wanted for the violent apartment invasion in Aurora, Colorado, where armed gang members terrorized residents in a viral, caught-on-camera incident in August. Local warrants for their arrests were issued after the incident, during which they and other gang members allegedly forced their way into units, brandishing firearms. The Bronx raid, part of a six-month investigation by the NYPD and Homeland Security, uncovered three assault rifles, two pistols, ammunition, and drugs, including heroin, synthetic marijuana, and "Tussi" (pink cocaine). Tren de Aragua has been linked to gang violence, credit card fraud, and drug trafficking across the U.S., with Aurora reporting a surge in gang-related crimes as the group exploits migration channels.
